The objective of the project is to upgrade Mpuru Access Bridge which connect Mandaghoek Village and Setshitshi Village which falls under Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality in Limpopo.
The works will involve the following:
- Clearing and grubbing of the bridge and road reserve
- Construct a temporary bypass, using temporary pipe culverts to accommodate the river flow.
- Construction of layer works
- Construction of 22No (3000×1200) Precast Portal Box Culverts
- Provide erosion protection by means of gabions,
- Construction of pavement layers to the approach to the bridge
- Installation of guardrails
- Installation of road signs
- Finishing of the road and road reserve
- Construction of concrete paving blocks;
