The objectives of the project is to upgrade Ga-Malwane Access Bridge which is located approximately 20 km north west of the town of Burgersfort, within the south eastern portions of the Limpopo Province, South Africa. The project is located under the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality.
The works included:
- Construct a temporary bypass, using temporary pipe culverts to accommodate the river flow.
- Construction of layer works
- Construction of Culvert 1 which comprise 3No (3600×3000) Precast Portal Box Culverts.
- Construction of Culvert 2 which comprise 3No (1200×1200) Precast Portal Box Culverts.
- Construction of Culvert 3 which comprise 4No (1200×1200) Precast Portal Box Culverts.
- Provide erosion protection by means of gabions,
- Installation of guardrails
- Installation of road signs
- Finishing of the road and road reserve
- Construction of concrete paving blocks for 500m.
