Mont Consulting Engineers was formally appointed to undertake the design and construction supervision for the construction of Tshishivhe, Mulodi and Mangaya reticulation of water to RDP level project. The project is located in Mutale Local Municipality which falls under Vhembe District Municipality. Tshishivhe, Bashasha and Tshilavhulu were among other villages in VDM identified to be lagging behind in terms of providing their people with basic clean water according to South African RDP standards.
The project was carried out in two phases in the following manner:
TSHISHIVHE, MULODI AND MANGAYA WATER RETICULATION TO RDP LEVEL – PHASE 1
Description of the works:
- Construction of Reticulation for Tshishivhe and Bashasha for 17.3km from 50 diameter to 110 diameter.
- Construction of 300kl elevated steel tank and booster pump.
- Construction of reticulation for Tshilavulu village for 8.3km from 80 diameter to 110 diameter.
- Construction of 200kl concrete reservoir at Tshilavulu.
TSHISHIVHE, MULODI AND MANGAYA WATER RETICULATION TO RDP LEVEL – PHASE 2
Description of Works:
- Construction of reticulation for Maheni, Makwilidza and Mangaya for 11.3km from 50 diameter to 110 diameter.
- Construction of 450kl elevated tank at Mangaya village.
- Construction of reticulation at Mulodi village for 8.0km from 50 diameter to 110 diameter.
Construction of 550kl concrete reservoir and booster pump.
